Mouse without a home

Published by Elizabeth at 6:05 am under Mouse Tails, competition

Still looking for a name and a home!!

Yep… Its been hard trying to keep this mouse away from the computer to check if there is anyone… someone who thinks he’s cute and has given him a name!

So… I ended up  (for both our sanity)  taking this rascal down the beach for some R & R.  we played  and splashed, went and ate fish and chips by the sea and told stories before heading back for a hot chocolate and a BBQ dinner.

We walked and walked… often not even talking, but always saying hello to one of the friendly locals walking along. (gee these locals here are nice!  you all should come here for a holiday… its fabulous!)

we walked for ages and laughed and we both actually DID relax!

This little charactor would sometimes, stop… look out into the deep blue ocean and ask  “do you really think  someone could love me”

me, the optomist I am would say “ABSOLUTLEY.  They would be crazy if they didnt… I love you!”

there would be a chuckle… and the comeback would be… “awww… but thats your job!”

We would both chuckle, and walk along … not saying a lot, but knowing soon… my dear little friend… MAY have a home”.  But I really DO love him!

Well, with those whiskers flying in the air he looks like a “Pierre” to me! Although he is a cute as a “Munchkin”

My daughter Celia (age 7) reckons “Cutie”, “Bubbles”, “Freckle” (he appears to have a dot to the right of his nose!?), “Floppy” & “Sam”.

My daughter Meredith (age 7) thought “Buckles”, “Pockets” ,”Spinney” or “Charlie”

Son, (age 10), thought “Sniffles”, “Tickles” or “Blackjack”

    Husband thought “Freddie”

Hope this helps! If nothing else, its made the list longer LOL.

Our vote for you gorgeous little friends name is “Campbell” as to us the picture looks like it was taken along the great Ocean road near Port Campbell. He sure looks relaxed with his ears blowing in the breeze!

You’re probably wondering what a bloke is doing surfing your blog? Well, I read your story in the Rural Women’s Network newsletter (part of my job as Senior Editor at St Luke’s Innovative Resources) and found it really inspiring.
Thought I would check out your online business and found my way to your blog. Congratulations on all your achievements and thanks for sharing your story. I think the RWN newsletter is one of the best going around. Full of great stories.
Anyway, back to rat. Definitely European, possibly Russian. I’m going with Vladimir!
    Best wishes,

    john

Hi Elizabeth, just from all you have been saying about the furry one I think his name could be Mr Mischief. He sounds like he gets up to a lot of this! As for the pic, I am going for Warnambool. Just looks a bit familiar.

    Regards,
    Becky

Not having much luck posting my replies.

I have changed my initial thoughts on where this cheeky mouse is photographed. I think it might be Torquay.

I think he needs an old worldly name like Edward or Fredrick or Lawrence.

    Rosie!!!!

well done it IS Torquay!! You have $10 to spend at La Toriana on anything!!

you might like to put it towards a designer baby wrap, organic baby or kids clothing, baby gift, designer boys clothing, girls designer wear, a pair of slippers for yourself, mums PJ’s, a designer nappy bag… oh the list is endless…. what is your fav La Toriana product?

we have a list of the wonderful names… I am off to find “Macey…. oh macey… where are you?

I have some yummy cheese for you….?”
