In February 2009 nominations were open to find Australia’s first ever “local premmie heroes”. The awards were created by parents of premature babies as a way to pay tribute and thank the amazing Australian’s who volunteer their time supporting families after the birth of their premature children.
After many nominations and a hard task ahead L’il Aussie Prems are thrilled to announce the winners of L’il Aussie Prems “Local Premmie Hero Awards”.
L’il Aussie Prems wish to thank everyone who was nominated for their hard work and hope you continue to support our families. With your help the NICU/SCN journey is that much easier.

LOVE ANGEL
May 10 2009

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE.
I am so excited this Mother Day.
Tiana has been buzzing about making “Special” Mothers Day presents and was so excited going off to school with some money to buy a present at the school Mothers Day stall… ALL BY HERSELF!
Mothers Day is a day I cherish and lap up. Every day is special with kids about, but today is even more so…
I love the excitement, the buzz and secretiveness in our house about the presents, how they make so much noise trying to be so quiet whilst making me a suprise breakfast in bed… and I pretend to be asleep when they come in… (and eat every little thing she made all by herself…. even the cold toast with piles of butter and jam. I rave on how I just love it). I love seeing her beaming face
I love the fact that I AM a mother.
I love getting up in the middle of the night, many times a night and tending to a cry…
I love the fact I can clean up after gastro and am there to pop on a bandaid and kiss a bruise better…
I love the fact that there have been tantrums in our house ….
I love the fact that I fight/negotiate about what my little one wears and eats,
and how she sometimes thinks its unfair I wont let her have junk food all the time.
I love the fact she thinks I am the “best mum in the whole world” when we read a bedtime story together
I love the fact that we can be silly and have tea parties in the paddocks and collect “gold treasure” amogst the granite hills where we live
I love… everything about being a mum.
The alternative is too hard to think about.
Have a wonderful Mothers Day….
now off you go… kiss and “cuggle” your little ones.
They are THE most precious beings in the whole world!
I am so very greatful and blessed
warmly
Elizabeth xx
