Here is a picture of my two kidlets, showing off their winter LaToriana purchases and out in style in Castlemaine and Bendigo recently!
(Ruben loves the Lambykins Urban set of cap and blanket and loves wearing and playing with his Cheeky Little Soles shoes as you can see above)
Skye is 4 and Ruben is 8 months old. People keep stopping me everywhere to ask about her Three Little Trees duffel coat (below) and her warm pink Tea Princess hat.
Skye loves practical comfy clothes, going out for hot chocolates, is an apple eating freak, does colouring and puzzles and loves riding her scooter around our kitchen. Her favourite foods are roast anything with veges and gravy. Ruben loves his ball with holes in it for easy holding and a squeaky monkey and adores his Aussie rules footy. He is the only boy in our families so he has to! They adore each
other. Ruben seems to love white fish blended with any vege.
A funny story recently:
Whilst eating an icecream, Skye started to politely giggle when a man came and sat down behind me. She tried so hard to stop but the harder she tried the worse it got! I turned and saw a poor man with an enlarged eyeball. She concentrated on her icecream and was very polite but we got up to leave anyway. I asked her to talk to me about it, about why she found it funny. After clearly feeling uncomfortable she stated “that man back there, I think he was playing Eye Spy with my Big Eye!!”
Our favourite recipe is french toast or
This MEATLOAF
which satisfies all: Blend for Ruben, tomato sauce for Skye and veges for us:
500g lean mince
1 cup lowfat cottage cheese
1/2 cup oatbran
1 beaten egg
1 medium onion
1/4 cup of finely chopped capsicumIf YOU have a great tip, recession buster, saving money advice or a great recipe… send it in.
2 stalks chopped celery
2 tbsp flax seeds
1 crushed garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
SIMPLY
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, spread into a baking dish so about
2 inches high, spray with olive oil and place in pre-heated oven at 180 degrees.
Play for 45 minutes!!!
