I must say Kate, head designer at the Tea Princess head quarters has excelled this Winter season.  The girls designer wear is more than I expected.  A wonderful array of dreamy colours in pale pinks, green, ivory to start with.  Not to mention the gorgeous ribbons, laces and knits.  oooh and the pants…  VERYY CHIC!!     The Knitted wear in the Tea Princess clothing collection is amazing…

I can see these will not last!  Best get in quick!! 

OMG… how cute are these vests?

 Soft and woolly is this season from BRITT design.  The cutest reversible vests, $49.95  and we even have ugg boots to match!! ($39.95)   Comes in the sand colour and also the cream, ties at the front… absolutely gorgeous!!!  Cream is my fav… a Winter White.   The 2010 winter kids clothing is all about vests, caplets, knits and hats.  Never before has there been such style amongst kids winter wear… sure sure… we all love the Summer… so much to choose from, but normally in winter its a limited range…. nope… not this year!

Emily’s christening was at St Therese’s Parish in Edmonton, Cairns QLD same place my husband and I got married in 5 and a half years ago.

Emily Louise (aka Emmi-Lou) is our little miracle angel after 5 years of trying to conceive with her and 4 cycles of IVF we conceived with her naturally.

She is 4 and a half months old and has made me smile everyday since she was born!

Thanks so much for sharing this special day with us.  I cannot help but keep looking at the top photo… I dont knw if its a professional baby portrait… but my word its a stunner of a photo.  The pensive, relaxed look… so warm and relaxed… beautiful!

The dress too… I am so loving this baby Christening gown… did you make it?  where did you get it?  The antique vintage lace on the baby dress is such a stand out winner… and of course as many of you will know I am a huge fan of baby pearl bracelets… this makes the whole Christening gown look complete.

Sarah – Queensland

Sarah has founded a network for Central QLD mums and dads of premature babies and has been working hard to get a website up and running full of useful and very helpful information called CQ Prems. As well as this she is a mum of four (2 of which were premmies) and is also studing nursing at university. Sarah has a lot on her plate yet she still manages to find time to help others. Sarah is an integral committee member for the National Premmie Foundation which hold National Premmie Day celebrations throughout the country each year. Sarah is a “go getter” and puts everything she has into providing the best support to families.

 We hope to have more stories from Sarah soon.

 Lamington Angels

I jut love these cute lamington angels.  They are always a hit with the whole family! 

These look great at any birthday party and celebrations like baby Christenings.What I love best is the fact you can quickly and easily make them and they look so great!   No icing techniques to do, but can make them look different by making them “angel wings”, “top hats” or Sponges.   mmm YUMMY.  The kids love to help with this one…   why not grab one of the amazing kids aprons from La Toriana ~ online baby/kids shopping boutique.

 INGREDIENTS

Vanilla buttercake:
90g butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (150g) self-raising flour
2 tablespoons milk

Chocolate icing:
10g butter
1/3 cup (80ml) milk
2 cups (320g) icing sugar
1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder

Decorations:
1 cup (80g) desiccated coconut
1/4 cup (100g) raspberry jam
1/2 cup (125ml) thickened cream, whipped

 METHOD

1. Preheat oven to moderate (180°
C/160°
C fan-forced). Line 6-hole  or 12-hole standard muffin pan with paper cases.

2. Beat butter, extract, sugar, eggs, flour and milk in small bowl with electric mixer on low speed until ingredients are just combined. Increase speed to medium, beat until mixture is changed to a paler colour.

3. Divide mixture among cases; smooth surface.

4. Bake large cakes about 25 minutes, small cakes about 20 minutes. Turn cakes onto wire rack to cool.

5. Make chocolate icing.

6. Remove cases from cakes. Dip cakes in icing; drain off excess, toss cakes in coconut. Place cakes on wire rack to set.

7. Cut cakes as desired; fill with jam and cream.

Chocolate icing
Melt butter in medium heatproof bowl over medium saucepan of simmering water. Stir in milk and sifted icing sugar and cocoa until icing is a coating consistency.
