A Perfect Christening Day for Molly Grace

CHRISTENING FEATURE

A BIG THANK YOU to LEESA for sharing these gorgeous pics and a little about Molly’s Christening

Words by Leesa

These photos are of my little girl Molly in my all time favourite photo of her (so far) at her Christening.

We had a great day, it was my husband’s 40th birthday on the same day and his family who had never met Molly came over from Tasmania. I made white choc mud cupcakes for her cake and while you can tell they are definitely not professional cakes they still looked kinda pretty LOL xxx

When I first saw this top photo… I was “ahhh and ooohing”,  what a glorious…gorgeous photo!   Hope you have this up and enlarged!!

The cakes also look professional to me, and I can tell a labour of love and dedication went into making each one.   It looks amazing… and special!

What I wish I knew before I became a mother…. Launch

La Toriana is proud to announce we have a gorgeous book listed on our website.  This is a brand new release will be the best baby present available.

How exciting…. the birth of a new baby   a baby book.

if you are about this week in Brisbane  (wish I was)… drop in and say hi to the authors Peace and Katy

Once you become a mother nothing is ever quite the same again, your life changes in a million new and unexpected ways, you discover love like you have never known before and also find that yes you can actually survive on just 3 hours sleep. As new mothers Peace and Katy found the reality of life as a mother completely different to what they had previously imagined. Unprepared for the adjustment from full time career girls to the role of round the clock motherhood they struggled with the challenges of motherhood such as isolation, a changing identity, sleep deprivation, loss of independence, conflicting advice, self doubt and breastfeeding issues.

After speaking to many other women with children of all ages they found they were not alone and that these challenges were common experiences for new mothers in contemporary Australian society.

“The original idea for this book came from the realisation that becoming a mother is not simply about giving birth and waiting for your maternal instincts to kick in. The skills necessary for motherhood are learnt. Times have changed and for many mothers the first time they hold a newborn is when their own baby is born, our society has lost many of the skills which were traditionally learnt incidentally as part of everyday life in a large close-knit family. Our goal was to create a book to encourage, support and empower mothers and help make their journey a little easier.”

What I wish a knew before I became a Mother is that book. Written for new and expectant mothers the book, addresses topics such as pregnancy, preparing for birth, coping with post natal depression, encouraging communication with your partner, breastfeeding, ensuring you have a strong support network and knowing when to ask for help in a positive and uplifting way. This book aims to help new mothers adjust to the demands of life with a newborn and reminds women to value themselves and their own needs too.

Featuring beautiful photography and practical advice this book is the perfect gift for new and expectant mothers! Published by Boolarong Press ‘What I Wish I Knew before I Became a Mother’is available at la Toriana.   Great gift for the expectant mother, the new mother, mums of all ages, and the best Mothers Day gift too.

This book is due instore at La Toriana from June 19th.  To pre order, please email me or go through checkout.  we will post this off as soon as they arrive.
How exciting…..  a book for mums written by mums!

Little Pearls for Little Girls Fresh Water Pearl bracelet… a brilliant present to give as a Christening present to a little girl, and is quite popular as a flower girl and bridesmaid gift.  A girl can never be too young to receive her first set of real fresh water pearls, and this fresh water pearl bracelet for little girls has been popular this week, actually for the last few months.  We have had to restock a couple times and no wonder… its Divine.  Packaged in an organza bag, and white tissue and placed in a white signature packaging… beautifully elegant and stylish and affordable.  $39.95.  perhaps you would like to give the fresh water pearl bracelet and necklace set instead… why not!  Check out all Pearls for Little Girls products.
